Let’s do a quick test together: lie down and gently press your belly with your fingers...
What does your belly feel like?
Soft?Springy?Rubbery?Hard?
If your belly doesn’t feel soft — it means you’re not relaxed...
When we’re under stress, the body goes into “Fight or Flight” mode...
The body tightens up, getting ready to deal with emergencies.
Areas like the belly and hip flexors especially tend to stay tight to protect us...
If we stay in a state of stress for a long time, the body gets used to staying tense —
With no space to release built-up tension, fatigue, or emotions.
This physical and mental tightness keeps us from truly relaxing!
So what can we do to release stress?
1/ Stretching – Stretching helps relax both the body and mind, releasing unnecessary tension and tightness.
2/ Deep fascial release – Loosens rigid knots, improves mobility, and brings your body back to a soft, comfortable state.
3/ Deep breathing – A single deep breath can bring you back to this moment, help you relax, and promote expansion in your body.
Here I’m sharing 3 simple Stretch Therapy practices (one stretch technique each), so you can try relaxing through stretching:
Let me know how you feel after you try the stretches – I’d love to hear about your experience!
And if you have any questions about Stretch Therapy, feel free to ask me.
Let’s learn to stretch and relax together — time to say bye-bye to “Fight” mode!
Love,
